My family is from Poland. My brother is married. My brother has two children: a boy and a girl. The son
is married and lives in the US. The daughter is studying. My daughter, who lives in the US, is married.
One morning we found a baby bird. It had been knocked from its nest by the high winds. Its mother was nowhere
to be seen. It was too young to fly. We took it inside to care for it. We were excited about taking care
of the bird. We didn't know what to do about feeding it.
The bird's little mouth flew open so often that we could not find enough insects to feed it. Then Mom found that
the little bird liked dog food. It also liked little bits of cooked egg yolk. We even made some nice worms out
of hamburger meat.

I attended the Berlin Adult Education program in the Spring
of 2005. I took English writing classes during the daytime and the evening. I also got extra help from a tutor
who worked with me on my writing skills. I greatly improved my writing skills in this program. I am very thankful
to all of the teachers in this program who helped me learn English, and especially to the Director, Barbara Solak, for her
big support in my learning process. I believe that this program is very beneficial to all people interested in learning
English.

I would like my best friend Tom to know that I miss him a lot. It
has been a long time since I left my country. We went to the same school for 12 years. We used to ride on motorcycles
in the Automobile Club. He has always been there when I needed him, no matter what. every year we used to go on
a trip during our vacation. We travelled all around the country with very little money in our pockets. Tom and
I slept in a tent every place we stopped. He is very tall. I remember people used to make fun of him. They
said that he walked like a monkey.
